From the moment we saw pictures of Darco's litter, we were impressed; when we realized we would get a puppy from the litter we were thrilled. We didn't know at the time we would be getting a piece of Dogue de Bordeaux history. Darco is littermate and full brother to two of the most winning dogues in European history: CH Dillen Van de Paterhoek and CH Enferno Van de Paterhoek. We are forever grateful to Bart De Croo for giving us the opportunity to own an incredible dogue such as Darco and are proud to have him in our family.
Simply put, Darco is correct; he has the the balance and harmony that are lacking so much in the breed. Darco is a Dogue de Bordeaux from front to back; his build conforms perfectly to the standard ratios. He has a wonderful head with correct shape and proportion and a great "sour mug" expression. He carries on the well-defined brow and stop from his dam's side. With one of the most impressive and unparalleled chests in the breed, Darco is strong, low to the ground, with great angulation in the front and rear...an athlete. Its always a pleasure to watch Darco move as he is amazingly agile for a large dog.
But above all, Darco is a better companion than I could have ever wished for; I am thankful every day that he is my dogue.
